Toying with the nitro's!
 

Saturday was a bust since I broke the Rusty thursday and my LHS had no bellcranks in stock. I spent Saturday tracking down a new bellcrank and my nitro buddies agreed to postpone bash day until sunday.

Yesterday we headed out to the park. My buddy with the BL planes let me borrow 2 charged 3s2p 8000mah lipos.

I started the day on my 6cell gp3300 and never went above 3/4 throttle. Like always they teased me because of my slow electric truck.....

Then I popped in one of my 7cell SPC IB4200 packs and opened her up. Their recation was awe to say the least. 7 cells + mamba gives me the fastest truck of the bunch now, not by much, but enough. We were doing drag races and I was winning by about a truck length over the revo 3.3 w/ tuned pipe, and we both were out right smoking the .15 powered trucks.

They were amazed that electric could be that fast..... At that point is when I said "guys, I have another tick up my sleeve." I went to the car and strapped in one of the lipo packs [evil grin]

I had us all line up on the drag strip again and this time the little rusty pulled on them all, leaving even the mighty revo 3.3 eating the dust trail of a little electric Rusty. All of the guys were "wow'ed" and one of them now wants to build a BL rig


They will never tease me again.:D

love seeing pics of my maxx on nitro guys' webz with comments like "it's electrics but our nitro trucks stand NO chance" :)

insta torque and motor that not only spins faster than nitro but allows gearing for more speed :) the only argument they are left with is the noise and smell of nitro :) but why when it's just not powerfull enuff

I need about $800 so I can finish the maxx up now..... It's so much more expensive to mod than the Rusty.

The total cost of my Rusty including the FLM goodies and mamba system is less that I spent on FLM stuiff alone for the maxx....

You should have run the 3s packs, their jaws would be dragging all week
