MMwith 540c xl
will this combo work? i dont know since the motor is sensorless and i dont know alot about the MM, im about to place my order and want to be suire that i dont make a huge mistake.
You betcha it will work. :)
sweet thanks, so i just dont connect which connector on the MM? the white connector?
Which white wire are referring to? On the receiver wire? If so, then you cut the middle wire, and you need an external BEC (UBEC) to power the reciever and servos.
no i was talking about the wire that connects the MM to the motor, since the motor is sensorless wont it have one less wire coming from the motor?
The controller is also sensorless, so no extra wires.
In sensorless, there are only the three main motor wires. In sensored, you have those wires and an extra ribbon cable.
oh i see, well that cleared everything up for me, Thanks everyone.
Hehe, brushed motors only have two wires, + & -. Brushless motors have 3- switching any two around will reverse the direction the motor turns.
What are you putting this in? If it's for a truck, my vote goes for the 9XL.
yeah im putting it in my revo, but i got a xl7 and i already ordered it so to late now, but im not worried if anything il pit a fan on it if it gets hot. Besides my gearing is 16/38 but i might go 16/36 just hope it still wheelies.
Believe me, the 7XL will wheelie. :D
You won't be short of power, especially if this is your first BL setup. I would have suggested the 9XL as well, I have a 7XL but regret not getting a 9XL instead. It wasn't the power that I didn't like, it is the heat now that it's summer. |
well I see what happens, besides rc-monster didnt have a 9xl in stock. Besides if anything il make something to make it run cooler.
Don't kill yourself putting a fan on the 7XL. It really doesn't help much.
no no what i meant was i am going to add another heatsink or something, im not stressing to much about this i will figure it out when it gets here. you never know it may not overheat to much seeing as it is the 540c thich has a heat sink integrated into it.
