PQ2S-4400N 7.4 4400 12C - 16C
PQ3S-4400N 11.1 4400 12C - 16C

those are the specs for the polyquest 4400s. i can get them for about 235. should i get these or the kokam 3200 20C? i really want the runtime so i can run a 10 minute main. thanks guys

squeeforever 06.20.2005 10:40 PM

i would say go with the kokams and get a lehner. i ran my 8 1/2 lbs e-maxx today and was getting like 12 and 13 minute run times with a xl3100! the thing must do atleast 45 with a 66/14 gearing! those runtimes were with old 24oo sanyos too! if you ask me thats impressive

squeeforever 06.20.2005 10:41 PM

not to mention i was only running 12 cells.

I've been using the Kokam 3200 with good results. Just be very mindful about amp draw. I have an eagle tree data recorder and you would be amazed at how many amps these motors can pull.

Thank you,

i think i will go with the kokams becausre of the super high discharge.

Promod- do you do any cell balencing with your packs? what batt config do you run? what motor? do you use any kind of protection? got any pictures? thanks

squeeforever- got a pic of your truck? i have been running some old 2400s on my new lite race and getting good runtime too.

No cell balanceing. Two kokam 3c 3200 packs in series(9c soon). No protection for over dischargeing. Just keep checking them with a volt meter. Charge them with a triton on a metal table in a metal box.
I've been using them in my clod and Lightning stadium. In the lightning the motors tried were Hacker 13L,Hacker 10XL,Hacker 12 XL,Lehner XL2000, Lehner XL1600. If you would like some pictures of the lightning I could post them tomorrow. I need to get to bed the COWS are calling.

Thank you,

thanks promod, thats a sweet truck. Im still wondering how i am going to protect the cells from objects on my g-maxx. if anyone has an idea or pics, please post them. i also need a way of mounting the packs, but still being able to use my 3300s.

squeeforever 06.21.2005 11:39 AM

use removeable battery cups. something similar to what promod uses.

How about like this. I just mocked this up so you would need to bolt/screw everything down. But it seems to work fine.

Thank you,

With your 70mph speed run, did you get more than a minute run time, lol? For your E-Maxx that is.
