Twisted Spahgetthi :)

Well, before running my e-maxx today, i was just thinking today, ive got all these things on my e-maxx, but yet my stock center cvd's are still there, well i thought too soon....

I went out for a run, i got to test out my new ramp, which i already trashed because i need a bigger one, so i went jumping, some bashing in the backyard, when , somthing stopped, i thought i had stripped the spur or pinions, but no, it was my two center shafts, Wow! They twisted all the way, but this was just the rear, so i entered my house, discouraged that i cant run it anymore, but than i thought, screw it, front wheel drive only, so i leave to have some fun.

I drive around, let me tell you, FWD is not very fun at all, it only looks cool when its in damp grass it just spins like crazy :) After about 6 minutes the front wheels stop, uh oh! There goes my Other Shaft, so i think, ill just have to get some shafts from mike, i think ill get the MIP ones, will they work, i do not have extended chassis, so i hope they do.

get this

works great for me

Sylvester 06.21.2005 03:14 PM

thats for extended chassis.....

sforsancho 06.21.2005 03:15 PM

nope, this one is though

If you want to have some fun until your upgrades arrive, cut the old left-over slider shafts (front/rear) to the lenght of the centers. Voila. They should last a run :L:

What set-up were you running the stock drive-shafts on?

Sylvester 06.21.2005 04:37 PM

stock!

maxxdude1234 06.21.2005 04:58 PM

rock on!!! I'm running stocker sliders on a 2000XL and 18cells. The front sliders are fine, the rears are a different story. They've twisted about 90degrees after some outrageous wheeling in 2nd gear. So far they've lasted about 5 runs. I think the slipper clutch is taking quite a bit of the brunt tho (stock + 12 pegs fully tightened) - that's gonna need replacing soon......:p

squeeforever 06.21.2005 05:01 PM

a strobe or a robinson racing slipper would be a good investment.

<------------Getiing bl soon (XL3600 on 12 cells)

maxxdude1234 06.21.2005 05:04 PM

I'm definately gonna be getting the strobe when the stocker goes, its a bit stronger than the robinson I believe. Still, I'm quite happy whilst the stock one holds out :)

Sylvester, thats gonna be an absolute beast on 12 cells. I personally prefer the lower kv, higher voltage set ups. I get about 40 minutes run time (NO KIDDING) with 3300's.....it actually begins to get boring after 40minutes.....

Sylvester 06.21.2005 05:06 PM

me too, but the stock is holding up fine right now :P

squeeforever 06.21.2005 05:36 PM

you might want to reconsider. im usually saying yea get the 3600 or 4200. i will never tell someone that again. i have the 3100 and its so fast i cant control it. and thats on 12 cells with a 14/66 gearing.

A gentle finger is all that counts Squee.. Better have the extra power and not needing it, than needing it and don't having it..
