http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...2/DSC00842.jpg do i have it setup correctly? the balancer reads everything fine... 2s and it reads that it is a lipo but when i press enter and start charging it sais "output battery connect error" any thing i could do? thanks! |
If you have a multimeter you can easily tell what the problem is. I would start there...
|
- Make sure the "M-S" switch (the little greenish slide switch) is set to M.
- Hook the battery balance cable first, then the main battery cable (in that order) - IIRC, you have ~15 seconds from when you plug in the battery balance cable to when you plug in the main battery connector. So don't dawdle. - Once it's all hooked up, the main LED (not the individual cell LEDs) will be on solid. Press the large-ish blue button and the main LED should blink slowly. You should be able to charge now. |
^^ it took me a few minutes to get it right, Don't got to be fast but you got to be quick
|
i will try that now^^
let ya know how it goes EDIT it works! thanks! |
if it sais "balancer advised" does that mean the balancer isnt working?
thanks! |
I'm not exactly sure since I don't have that charger, but the balancer is probably telling the charger that one or more cells are out of balance and is just letting you know.
|
BTW: That large blue button I was talking about? Consider that an on/off switch. It basically disconnects the balancer input leads from the balancer output leads. This is to prevent any shorts if the banana plugs on the balancer input leads happen to touch each other with a pack hooked to it and not hooked to a charger. This would be considered "stand alone balancing". So only push the blue button if the balancer is hooked to a charger! Even if you don't the fuse should protect the pack, but it's best to be safe.
If this is confusing to you, just disregard this whole post. I just like to explain how this stuff works... |
ill be honest with you i read the first 2 sentences then got lost lol!
but ya the first pack charged fine so o well! |
