Lipo receiver pack....
Guys,
If I use a 2s1p 7.4v lipo receiver pack, would not this destory the servo and receiver? I thought I would try a EVORX 1300mah pack on my Futaba receiver/ servo, but I'm afraid that might destroy them. An external bec would be nice, but it's quite a mess to solder it to the controller and then connect it to the receiver. I don't mind charging a receiver pack every time it dies. Thanks, Alawi El-Jifri =) |
robots use 7.4V for servos so some servos can handle 7.4V as well some recievers. have a look into its specs. if not you will have to usevoltage regulator (UBEC will do nicely)

if you get a dimension engineering sport bec, you only have to solder the wires to the ESC battery leads...very clean. you don't even have to disable the BEC in the ESC.
i don't think your receiver/servo will like a 2s LiPo pack. the peak voltage of a 2s pack is 8.4v whlie the peak voltage of a 5 cell Nimh RX pack is around 7.3v. |
Yeah, so I think it's a bad idea.
Thanks guys. |
