Fluorescent Paints?
I am painting my CRT.5 body with fluorescents and the green is almost see through, now if i add my orange as the next color will that change the green? I almost used the whole can but it still is thin looking. Should i put some white over the green first?. I have never painted with fluorescents yet so i am not sure.

It will probably tint the green, or at the very least lighten it a bit.

Yeah... anything but white/silver will change the color. Flourescents must be backed in white. That's why it doesn't look right even with a bunch of coats.
You really only need a couple coats... maybe 3-4 light coats... then back it with white or pactra's white flourescent covercoat, which is opaque. If you get a couple coats of the "covercoat" then you can even use dark colors after that and it won't show through. Edit... even a single coat, backed with white works... but will show some light/white specks where it's not covered real good. The more coats of green the more solid it will be (and guaranteed to be uniform) but may lose a little of the super bright look of just a couple light coats. |
Sorry about the hijack, but: Hey GD! Where've you been?

Glassdoctor is right. Think of the fluorescent paints as semi-transparent paints.
