Single Speed Conversion???

Is gorillamaxx the only company that makes a single speed conversion?

Also would the V2 slipperential transmission work in an E-Maxx chassis?

Yes they are but they do look good. You could get the coupler instead though.

I'm not sure but if it does you will have to modify the chassis for it to work.

The V2 slipper is designed to work with the G2, G2r, G3 and G3r chassis, it wont work in a stock type chassis without hacking it to pieces. As for the singlespeed, yep, just buy the coupler and fit it into the 2nd gear output gear, then you can remove the shifter, dog, 1st gear output gear & 1st gear idler- you just keep the stock tranny case & dont have to modify the input gear shaft.

Who makes the coupler, UE, rcmonster???

EDIT: Found it, the gorillamaxx coupler, thanks!

or you can just take the original drive dog and screw it together with the gear works very well and it will cost you 2 screws, 2 washers and 2 locking nuts :)

True, true. Though i have heard a couple people say that the drivedog rounded out on the output shaft, where as the coupler is aluminum so that wont happen. Depends how strong the motor being used is, but your method is alot cheaper wallot I must admit.

I used to have also the shifting fork that held the second gear engaged all the time, now I switched to screws and it works without any issues.

I am working on a 1/8 diff fit into maxx trany anyway :) Last part is a 40mm driveshaft to make and it will be complete

Now that sounds like an interesting project, and great idea. If the Revo can have a Cd, why not the Emaxx eh?
