1/8th diffs with hybrid bulks

i read somewhere in the forums that any 1/8th diff set will fit in the bulks for the maxx's, you just mostly shop for the right gear ratio's. i happen to have a gs storm buggy and storm sut rollers, both rtr modles, which to my knowlage have the same gears. i want to use the gears out of the sut if they will work for this upgrade to my emaxx. would this combo work or do i need to just buy some? if so, this upgrade will come later than sooner. thanks in advance.

There are a few 1/8 diffs that will fit in the FLM hybrid bulks, such as the HotBodies 1/8 buggy/truggy diffs (sold in the RCM store), or the UE 6&8 spider diffs will fit into the FLM hybrids (not with the UE diff case obviously, just the diff & pinion).

THe only 1/8 diffs that are a direct fit for the maxx are the UE Ultra light 6&8 spider diffs & cases, but the cost is rather high.

As for other 1/8 diffs, I really dont know if they will fit- maybe with the correct shimming & bearings, or maybe not...

i guess my best option would be to buy the bulks and give it a try and if not, then buy the diff set that will work.

Yep, that would be fine. You dont save any money by buying the bulks & diffs together, so theres nothing to loose in trying the hybrid bulks with your existing diffs, then buying the HB diffs later if it doesnt work.
