People just don't care anymore...

...about how they are perceived on the internet. I don't know why, but things like this annoy me. The following is a description on eBay:

"her ewe got a mrc thunderking monster truck like a 1/8 scale has 2 mod something motors not sure 2 servos 2 bodys seems 2 all be there smooth shocks and gears i just dont need it so i`m seeenin if anyone here can use it comes with 2 bodies 1`s ok and 1`s alittle banged up lot being sold as is so can get this while you can 4 a restore or parts truck thanks and happy bidding shipping 20 bucks"

Now, maybe I'm old-fashioned, but give me a break. You are trying to SELL SOMETHING TO STRANGERS online. Would anyone trust sending this person $.25, let alone $70 plus for a truck? Take 4 minutes out of your day and put together a coherent sales description that lets the buyer know they're not dealing with moron.

That is all.

lol, I hear ya. I wouldn't buy something from someone with the writing skills of a gerbil like that. If the seller is that sloppy trying to sell something, imagine the condition of the item!

I don't like buying from e-bay, anyways.

maybe he is not very good with the english language?

We just have to remember that we all play with little cars and trucks. And some of us may only be able to play with little cars and trucks. Maybe they played too much when they should have done their homework instead. And if you are currently residing in the US, learn the language, and not spanglish, the other language in this country. I know many people who hail from different countries that have been here a very short time that made the effort to fit in a little. I also know people who were born in the states and still do not know how to properly convey thoughts in English. Oh well, what can we do?

MTBikerTim 09.11.2007 12:35 AM

My bet is on it's stolen. The guy who wrote the description is on some kind of drug (by the way he writes I'd say alcohol) and he is trying to flog it to buy more alcohol. I'm sure he has every intention of sending it to the buyer (it's not grog is it) but he won't cause he will be to busy spending the buyers money down the pub.

When he wakes up in a few days time he will be "WTF is this". "Hey maybe I can sell it on ebay for grog money, yeah." Of course it would be spoken in some unintelligible dialect only know to drunks.

I'm sure he's not, but I don't doubt that it is his first language. You can tell when English is not someone's first langauge, they use the wrong words and poor grammar. This is just not caring "Because I'm on the internet, not writing an English paper."

Yeah, it is neat. Gotta make sure the first and last letters are in the right place and all the letters are there. Trouble is that some people forget some letters, add extra ones in, or mix up the first/last letters, so it's almost impossible to read.
