Welcome aboard, Shadow. Sit tight for a day or two and I will have my own hardened steel idler gears for the e-maxx tranny. Hopefully around Wednesday!

nice nice
not really new to the RC scene but new to this board
how much would it cost?

Great news Mike! Is it made lightweight as well?

Dafni 06.27.2005 02:41 AM

The UE's have those holes drilled in them, and Mike's will have a groove cut out to reduce wight.
I got this info from a reliable source ;)

Serum 06.27.2005 03:01 AM

Okay.. Lightweight that is.. Thanks Daniel!

Shadow350Z 06.27.2005 04:02 AM

thats good to hear
how much do you guys think he would sell em for?

maxxdude1234 06.27.2005 01:46 PM

You can put me down for a set :D Don't think the stockers are gonna hold up for much longer :p

RC-Monster Mike 06.27.2005 10:58 PM

No problem. $15 for a single gear, $25 for a pair.

Shadow350Z 06.27.2005 11:45 PM

GREAT!
ill reserve a set!
25 plus S&H right?
are they gonna be in the shop section on the web?

RC-Monster Mike 06.28.2005 12:06 AM

Yes, As soon as I get them, I will list them in a few sections so they are easy to find(brushless, new stuff, e-maxx etc.).

Shadow350Z 06.30.2005 02:40 AM

how it goes with those idlers mike?

RC-Monster Mike 06.30.2005 06:19 AM

They have not shown up yet. :(

Shadow350Z 06.30.2005 12:55 PM

awwwwww

RC-Monster Mike 06.30.2005 07:08 PM

Good news and bad news:
Good news: I got some steel idlers in today(along with some nice 5mm bore 14,16 and 20 tooth mod 1 pinions)!

Bad news: they don't have the radial groove and they are not case hardened(I am sure they will hold up, but I fear they will wear over time and eventually develop a sharp edge, which will cut/strip the output gear).

The hardened, grooved idlers should be along in the very near future.
