Major Azzwoopin 06.27.2005 03:20 PM

$219.00 It was sold out at just under $200 at a few places.

Very nice! Lets just hope it's more reliable than the speed controls they do! :P

I have the Great Planes Triton, does 24 cells @ 5Amps, great charger! :D

Those Schulze chargers are just about the best out there! Have fun with it!

looks pretty good, but check out the new multiplex charger

Major Azzwoopin 06.30.2005 10:05 PM

Well, after further review the place I ordered it from does not have it in stock..Hey it only took them 7 days to figure it out and tell me...and only because I called them, they still haven't given me an answer of any kind in email or from their online order service. I am gonna have to make sure I get credited for that charge.
Any way I ordered an astroflight 109 lithium charger can't go wrong with that ...a conservative auto cell detection to keep me from making a mistake and burning the world down.

LOL

MetalMan 06.30.2005 11:21 PM

The only problem with the auto cell detection is that it can detect wrong. For example, an almost fully charged 3s pack can be seen as a really low discharged 4s pack, and it can go like that up to 9s. If you are using it for lower cell counts, then have fun!

Major Azzwoopin 07.01.2005 11:41 AM

I wondered about that ..but I think with the conservative detection schemes you are more likely to go the other way...it is probably calculated to never add a cell to what it thinks is the attached config (to err on the less cells side) if it is borderline then go with the lower number of cells to not create a dangerous overvoltage situation.
My guess anyway..
I have been wrong before and don't suspect that will be the last time..LOL

Re~Mix 07.01.2005 11:54 AM

what kind of power supply is needed for that bad boy?

supermaxx4190 07.01.2005 12:03 PM

sweet, im thinking about buying the astroflight 109. let me know how you like it. i will buy one if tower doesnt have the multiplex by mid july.

MetalMan 07.01.2005 03:09 PM

It really depends upon how many cells you want to charge. I think something like 13 amps for a 5s pack would definately work.
