Which motor

I have a LSP truggy I'm converting to electric, I would like to know what motor would be best out of a Neu 1515/1y, Neu 1515/2y, or a plettenberg BigMaxximum, I am choosing between these because I already own them. I also have a Quark 125, MGM 16024, and a MGM 16018. Please help me choose the right combo.

Thanks Tom

What kind of performance do you want/need, AKA bashing or racing? What batteries will you be using?

And, importantly, what's the budget? You have a Quark and an MGM, so you can run pretty much any motor.

I have 2, 5 cell flight power evo25 5000mah,
1, 4 cell thunderpower extreme 5000mah, 1 3cell thunderpower extreme 5000mah, and 2, 2cell Maxamps 5000 mah. I am looking to just beat the snot out of this car!

Well then, I'd get a Neu. Since it's gonna be on a truggy, I'd get a 1515. So, it's just a matter of finding the wind. On the higher Q motors, I shoot for between 35k and 40k max rpm. Just take that value and divide by the battery voltage to find the kv. Then, find a motor that closely matches that.

This page might help you out with this - it basically automates the steps outlined above.

Brian I already have the three motors I mentioned, I'm just trying to pick the right one from what I have.

Sorry, I guess I missed that part. OK then, just pick the one with the closest kv to what you calculate.

Well that settles it.

I would take your MGM 16024, put your (2) TP 5000 packs in series, and run the Plettenburg BigMaxximum. :surprised:

Why don't you try all three motors and see which one runs best?

16024
Big MAXXimum
on 5s (or 6s, but doesn't look like you have that option with what you have.

That's what I'll be running soon, I have all electronics, just need to get a truck together, hopefully this weekend.
