8s or 5300!

wich do you recomend for a pede ( 8 cells )with full aluminum and maxx wheels i was def gunna go with the lehner 5300 when i wasnt gunna put maxx wheels on but now that its gunna have them its gunna be way heavier so now i got the option of the 8s do you think the lehner can be geard down so it wont get to hot and still be faster than the 8s or gear the 8s really hot n make it hot lol idk what to do what would you recomend.

Have you considered an xl motor? That may be better with more cells and the weight. Say a 4200xl. But I think the Feigao should handle the weight a little better than the 5300, either one will work IMO.

I vote for the 5300 since its no doubt a tough motor. Just be sure to use the appropriate gear ratio with the larger tires you're using.

well what im trying to find out that wich one would be faster with 8 cells bc the lehner is faster but will need to be geared down alot to compinsate w/ the larg tires and the 8s can be geared higher so idk wich one would be beter imn looking for no cogg no problems n good speeds.

I think that the 8s would be a better choice. On 8 cells and stock-sized tires with the appropriate gearing, you would get good speed. The 5300 would definately be faster, but it also costs more, and since it is shorter, it is not as powerful of a motor (for longer periods of time, not talking about bursts).

The 8s will definately be more efficient than the lehner 5300 in this application.
