Aveox motor info.
 

Just received an Aveox motor today. It is a 36/24/3, 1300 kv, similar to a l can feigao in size. Was wondering what it would be good for. I was thinking a 5s setup in a stampede with a quark 65 roadster esc. Does anyone know what kind of motor it is, slotted, not slotted, bonded sintered, etc?

IIRC, the stator is slotted, that's all I know...

Also, most( all of them, maybe) Aveox motors are sensor based, but then again, a sensorless controller can run it with no prob.

I have a few Aveox and still have my original from back in the mid 90s. They are very nice motors and as you all know Steve Neu used to work with Aveox and now makes his own motors still using Aveox technology. Aveox made sensored based motors, but also made them for sensorless ESC. Aveox is still selling a few in Ebay btw. You will have a great time with the Aveox. I'm using a MGM TMM 16016-3s and 1412/1y in my truggy and I have the sensored M160 ESC with the RC7 motor in my Stampede> (It went 45MPH with conservitive gearing).

Yeah, I got it off ebay and it is sensorless. So I can compare it performance wise to a neu? Probably more similar to a 1509 than a 1512. I will try it on 5s in the pede as I have a controller and batteries that will work. We shall see how it does!

My 1412 is almost the same as the 1512. The only difference is that NeuMotors have more iron on the stator I think. I read this somewhere. The Neu's have more torque, but the Aveox have more RPMs. For example, the Neu 1512/1.5y has a RPM/Volt of 1900 and the Aveox 1412/1.5y has a RPM/Volt of 1945.

lutach, how does the 1412 compare to their new numbering system? Or am I just not reading the website correctly? they seem to have 27, 36, and 42 series motors. This seems to relate to their diameter in mm, funny cause the build sheets are all in sae measurements!
