Steel Dog bones for stock length E-Maxx?
I am looking to buy some Steel dog bones for center shafts (front and rear) on my stock length E-maxx. Does anybody know what length I need? Does RC-Monster carry them?
Thanks |
Yes hang on I'll get the link.
Here they are. In the comments section, as you check out, tell Mike what size you want. Mine: http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../269751926.jpg |
OH really? Just tell him I need dog bones for a stock length E-Maxx??
I have revo centers in there now, and I just twisted the rear straight off the u-joint. My setup now is a mm/8xl on 14 cells. I have a MGM 16018 esc on the way as well as two 3s packs. So I'm definatly going to need some serious driveline upgrades for 6s power. mkrusedc, I know from the traxxas forums that you have a pretty fast setup in your Emaxx now. How does it hold up to so much power? And what upgrades have you done since (or before) your setup to cope with the power? |
These are my current upgrades:
Upgrades: Neu 1515/1y/f MGM Compro 160/16 controller 2 TrakPower 2S1P 4900 mAh LiPo battery packs PowerStroke shocks 12 Associated slipper balls Traxxas wheelie bar RPM suspension arms RPM axle carriers Traxxas 3.3 turnbuckles Traxxas 3.3 drive shafts Revo wheels RC-Monster steel dog bone center shafts Traxxas 3.3 gray bulkheads Power Pole connectors Futaba S3305 MG steering servo Gorilla Max single speed transmission RPM shock towers and body posts RC-Monster steel idler Still to come: Strobe slipper FLM aluminum diff cups with modified gear and 3 mm screws Pro-Line velocity dish wheels w/ MaxxMasher tires |

I have been running 4s on 6s it would bee insanely fast. I would suggest getting a FLM extended chassis for better stability. My diffs are my weak spot. I will need an aluminum combo bulk and 1/8 diffs to get it near bullet proof. Good luck and keep us updated. |
I've got pretty close to what you've got in upgrades.
I'm just afraid that with running so much power in the E-maxx, I'll be constantly breaking driveline parts. How do you find the speeds using 4s? |

They are 98.5mm long, mike has got PLENTY of them.

i thought it was 98.5. Come to think of it, that might be wrong.. My MIP centershafts are relative short.. more 7cm than 10..
|
Yea, believe there more like 70mm. I thin the rear for the FLM is more like 95ish.
|
Awesome, thanks guys.
I ordered the set for the extended chassis, and asked for the set for the stock chassis in the comments. Hopefully I get the right ones!! In the meantime, I just chopped up a spare stock Emaxx drive shaft to use in the meantime. It's identical to the revo center shafts once cut down to size. |
