Another Basher is born!!!
I thought this was funny and I had to share it. My son was born on March 22 of this year. Its my first child. For the past 6 months he has watched curiously as I have worked on my RC’s. The other night he and I were watching Toy Story the movie. My Stampede was in the living room. He kept looking at it and at the screen when RC (the character) was on. I think he got the hint of what RC was.:yipi: SO I bought him his first RC car. It’s a little toy RC car made in the image of RC from toy story. He is still trying to figure out how to get it to move but he knows it’s in the radio. LOL:yes: I can see a mini in the future with in a few years (maybe less if mom doesn't know). His mother keeps asking when I will grow out of “this childish hobby.:grrrrrr:” As I see it there’s 2 against 1 in our house.:na:

Congrats man! You'll have fun now that the odds are a little more even.

Smart kid, thats awesome how he was able to put those two together, hopefully he'll grow up to be one hell of a basher :-D
|
thats great. I am expecting one in dec and I am sure it wont be long before he will have his own just like your son.

Only problem is for the first few years you will have to fix his mistakes and your wallet will be paying for it. So make sure his first car is a tough one. I'm thinking stampede. They seem fairly tough light and slow in stock form (even slower in training mode).

a rustler is one BEASTLY truck. but i still think thatd be too fast for a kid untill maybe 4-5 plus imagine if they steer the truck into themselves at full speed... get the little guy a micro-t!! i bet he will have a blast with it!
cant wait till i have kids |
I'm building my 5 year old a dragger out of spare parts. That boy is a racer and his mom blames me all for it. She claims that his 4 souped up power wheels are really mine.
You'll have even more fun when yours grows older man. |

I can't wait till mine is older. Mom wants to keep him in the baby years. I want him older so we can do all the boy stuff (as mom puts it.) I was thinking 2 mini's in about a year or so. Maybe rollers to build them up. That way the 2 children (to quote JHautz) can race together. it will also give me a reason to buy 2 mini's. sorry MOM.:mdr: |
thanks, it will be our first.
I am also thinking mini to start off with. Maybe something like the m-lst2. |
I let a 7 year old drive my brushed mini t and I cringe at the way he drives. Curb, bang hahaha curb bang hahahah curb bang hahahaha. From experience a mini t is a lot tougher then a mini lst2 and the mini t isn't quite tough enough. maybe with an hs81mg as the servo gears seem to be the main things that go on the mini t with him driving. (I don't know why, curb whack hahahaha).

Your also going to get me in trouble. I am thinking about selling my J-Pede in my picture. I wasn't planning on buy another until my son was old enough to handle one. Then I could get 2. I might have to "learn more about the Mini LST2." at least thats what I will tell MOM anyways. I was watching the M-LST but had not seen the M-LST2. I am in trouble. :yipi: |
I had the mini lst before and loved it expect for the diffs. the lst2 comes with metal gears, a dsm radio, upgraded shocks and a few other things. they also have a mini baja now that is basically the same as the lst2 but with a lipo pack and a cut off on the esc.
Totally get you on the supportive part and getting up in the night. I already hear it from her and the little guy isn't even here yet. |
