good setup?

i have been planing on building up an erevo for a long time now and i think after reading many many post on this site. i think i have found a good set up but i just wanted to make sure that you guys think its a good set up befor i spend the lots of moneys to do it lol

motor : Feigao 540C 7XL
esc : mamba max esc
battery : 4cell 4000mah (reason for that battery cause i can get it at my work for a good price)

im going to be using a revo 3.3 tranny locked into second gear.

spur is going to be at 36
and the pinion is going to be 28(if it fits)

if there is anything wrong with this setup up please please tell me. i dont want to spend the money and then have it not right and it not run good.

thanks.

What are these cells capable off? (discharge wise)

The 7XL; did you bought that motor yet? on 4S i would recommend a slightly lower KV motor.

drkros3 09.29.2007 12:15 PM

the battery has a 80amp discharge rate

and no i have not bought anything yet.

so should i go with the 8xl or a 9xl.

If 80A is the max current the battery can deliver a 9 or 10XL seems to be a better choice.

What brand of cells are they?

drkros3 09.29.2007 12:34 PM

its an impulse battery.

and just wondering why would those motors be a better chose then the one i picked before.

thanks

here is a link to the battery

okay, that battery should be up the task, 80A continues is a lot. I have got no experience with these packs though.

A 7XL might run hot on 4S under racing conditions.

well all i really want to do is just bash it around some times.

im never going to race it. dont like racing that much.
