possible lipo damage?!
well yesterday i went to the local construction site with my bl revo. i made a custom battery tray with aluminum sheet and a couple of screws. but one thing i didnt notice was that one of the button heads of the screws was popping out a bit.. after the bash i checked out the battery and thier is a small indention in the pauck... kinda like a 1 mm dent but if u run ur hand over it u can feel it.... i the pack never ran hot or warmed up.. i charged it last night and nothing got warm and everything went ok.. should i worry about this.? and yes i fixed the screw already.

If it's a gentle dent (meaning no sharp edges), then you should be OK. Just keep an eye on it. If it was me, I'd probably replace it just to be safe.
Which end is it? The one where the taps and wiring of the tabs is made? Because if it's that end, I wouldn't worry at all. |
no its on the bottom of the pack. it has no shapr edges at all just a rounded spot,

Like I said, you should be ok, but keep an eye on it. Also, you might want to pick up some foam padding for the tray. 1.8" thick craft foam works very well. Comes in sheets of 11"x8.5", is easy to work with, cheap (< $0.50 IIRC), and is available with a sticky backing (enough to hold it in place while being fairly easy to remove). I get mine at Wal-Mart (craft section).

kk thanks for the help brian. i used some padded cartboard for now but i will go check out walmart.

This same thing happened to me. I also use sheet metal for my battery trays, plus I put foam padding. The screw went through the foam though and made a puncture just like you described. So far I haven't noticed anything different about the battery and it is performing as always.
