6000 mah lipo charged by a Hyperion 5i

I am selling my J-Pede. With it I am getting rid of my Hyperion EOS 12I 12S Charger. Until I get a new one I have a Hyperion 5i charger. I want to charge 6000 mah 2s2p Lipo’s with the 5i. The 5i only charges up to 5000 mah. Is there any problems that “could” happen besides not getting a full charge? Any set backs I might see besides less minuets in run time? Thanks

you'll still get a full charge with the 5i. it will just take longer. that 5000mah rating is the rate that which it fills the battery up. if you set a charger to 2S 6000mah, it should only take 1 hour to
completely fill your battery (milliamp hours)

with the 5000mah limit on the 5i, it will just take a little over an hour. you're still good to go. not a single problem can arise. you might even get a better charge!

point me in the direction of your for sale ad though... i've been looking for that charger...

OK maybe I am confused but I follow what your saying. If I charge say a 8000 mah battery the 5i will charge it to full capacity? It just takes longer. I thought the cut off was 5000 mah on the 5i. I dont have instructions. Maybe I will have to look harder. Thats good to know if I can charge my 6000 mah's though.

I should have been more specific about selling my J-Pede. Its a local sale to a friend. Its already sold. Sorry. Other wise I would keep the charger. I love it.

the 5 amp (5000 / 1000) maximum rate on these chargers, and on the batteries as well is all about time.

Amp Hours (or add a milli on there to get your mah). 5i charger can deliver 5 amps every hour. so it could charge an infinitely big battery... it would take forever.
