Which suspension arms?
 

I keep ripping screws out of my RPM arms so, I started looking for upgrades and came up with ACNM, FLM, or Flextek for my basher. I am also a little worried about the beating my truck takes. Cartwheels and big jumps are alot longer and higher with my Neu. Does anyone have any opinions or advice? Thanks.

i would defiantly steer away from the acnm arms. they are molded and i have heard lots of terror story's about them they are supposedly worse than the old integy arms. the Flextek will take the beating for sure and come with a life time warranty, though one problem with them is there price, also many here don't like the design on the bushings, they wear out fast and it gives the arms a loose fit. the FLM are probably the most economical choice they are much cheaper than the Flextek arms, are backed up by a warranty (not free replacement but a warranty that is decent ) they will defiantly take a beating. i don't believe i have ever heard of anyone breaking an FLM arm before but i could be wrong. i do believe with the FLM arms the (bushing problem is solved that exists in the Flextek arms). Personally i would go with the FLM arms they are almost 200 less than the Flextek they are super strong but not indestructible (but neither are the Flextek they just give you free new ones if they break) and they have a little more bling than the Flextek, and with the extra money maybe you could pick up something else for your truck.

how much weight do they(FLM) add on a truck over rpm arms?

I would like to know that also. Anyone?

The weight of all 8 FLM arms are 176 grams according to RC monsters website or approximately .3682 pound. Now if i remember correctly RPM claims that there arms (even though beefer) are slightly lighter or the same as stock weight because of the plastic type of material they use.

Our arms for the E-maxx are as follows:

Upper = 36.17 grams or 1.28 oz
Lower = 44.55 grams or 1.43 oz

These are including the pillow ball inserts, shock mounts, and hinge pin bushings installed.

Will the G-max arms fit FLM hybrid bulks?

Yes, they will.

i use the gmaxx arms and i love the way they look though i have not bashed them yet

I like them also. The FLM arms looked square and bulky, but if they will stand up to a 20 foot+ leeve jump I may need to get them. Thanks for all the feed back guys.

Yeah, but so do the RPM's......just cause they have a warranty doesnt mean they dont break.

Most here have much more experience in this than me, but I've never seen people repetively break the same RPM part without having some other issue that was the real root cause - albeit driving style, or bad set-up. If you get something that is going to hold up better at the pin, you might end up breaking parts in a different area - that impact has to be taken up somewhere.

Definately driving style!! I was jumping a 4 foot high pile of dirt and the resultant 25 foot cartwheel probably had something to do with it.:whistle:
