brushless problems

Aloha Guys,
I havent run my brushless in a little while and I tried to charge the batteries and had a few problems if you can help....

first.. when I pull the trigger full it studers and does really move... it jerks a little BUT if I slowly accellerate then is moves then I can full throttle it and its sort of ok. Any ideas why this is happening. I thought the batteries were old and not giving enough juice to the motor.

second.. the UBEC smokes when I run it after a few minutes. I dont think I changed the wires or anything but I might have screwed it up the last time I ran it... any ideas on this too.

My set up is 2x 3600 7 cell batteries.(kinda old ones) I have a UBEC and a warrior controller. Still running the original trigger controller and brain thing that came with the emaxx.

If anyone can help, maybe diagrams of the wiring how it should be... battereis suck and are dying???

Thank you guys very much for the help. Makana

The fact that you haven't run it in a while may be the problem. Check all of your connections and make sure that they have been coated over with any sort of corrosion. Try wiping all of the connections with some denatured alcohol. The stuttering may be a sign of a bad connection.

If there's smoke, somethins burnin'. You have to figure out what it is. This too may be a result of a bad connection.

I guess ill try checking the wiring. Its probably that. I was hoping its not the batteries than that means I have to buy new battereis. Crap. more money
