Smoked ESC
Guys need your help ,I shorted out my Schulze speedy the other night and fryd her :diablo: We are 1 week out from our state titles and the only replacment speedy i can get my hands on is a mamba maxx ,is this ESC going to be OK to use with my Lehner ?? any help would be great & if you can get me another speedy to Perth Western Australia by friday some how please drop me a line .

Mamba Max will work great with Lehner motors, at least up to 4s (with UBEC). Some have had luck at 5s as well, but that may be asking too much.
|
Just make sure you send Serum a pic of the toasted esc for his collection! The MM should be fin on upto 4s & 100amps or so- what lehner is it exactly?
|
i have a MM paired with a LMT 1940/7 hi amp... it runs smooth as silk on 4s a123 packs. haven't really tried it out thoroughly yet on 5s2p. if you overgear it, it won't cog but you can tell it's smoother when geared correctly.

I race with maxd out. He runs a Lehner 1940 7t hi-amp, gorillamaxx chassis (G2 I think), racer-X arms, 8 racer-X upershocks, 1/8th diffs, VBS, sliperential (geared 40/18 I think), koolflight UBEC and 2 trackpower packs in series.

The mm works like a charm with the Lehner.
Can you please get me a picture of that smoked schulze? Thanks! |
Sorry guys no smokey pics ,ive just sent her off for repair
I was going to try & fit the 32/170, 226Amps into the chassis but no longer fits with the slipperential |

Thanx for the advise guys |
Upload a pic to a hosting account like photobucket or whatever, then just copy the img code and paste it into a new post.

Its big

lol, that's big enough to BE the chassis! Slap the F/R suspensions on there and you're half done making a new truck!
|
Yikes! That thing is humongous. Where is the damage to, on the bottom or under the brain section I guess?
|
Well if they can fix it at least you have yourself a nice coffee table
:intello: |
I'll take the 32.170 if you don't want it LOL.

That's not the burnt controller, it's his 32/170 that he can't fit his car anymore, because the slipperential is in the way. The burnt one I think is a 18.120 or 18.97 or something like that. There's about 4 people at racing that use Schulze's, and they don't seem to be having problems with them during races...only when they short them out.
He did use the 32/170 in his old car (used the chassis that I now use) with 24 cells, a hacker and did 106kph (66mph) a couple of years ago. I didn't get to go to that day, but I've seen the vid of it. Got pretty close to disaster. |
