RCM revo motor mount + Neu motor question
Recieve my Neu motor from Mike today, and when i put it on my revo RCM motor mount, i can't fit the rear support. No one (the smaller or larger) fit with this motor.
Must i absolutly run with the rear suport??? I can see that Neu motor don't have a pressfit frontbell like Feigao motor, so it must be less prone to Feigao front bell "popoff" problem. Help please thank! |
Probably not needed, but would help take some stress off the front plate on landings.
|
Are you sure it doesn't fit? My 1515 fits the shorter one perfectly
|
Yeah, I could not get that rear support to fit right, it put way too much stress on the mounting holes before I got it jammed in there. You don't need it with Neu's really.

I've the finned version and realy don't fit.
I've e-mail Mike and he can make one to fit. |

One thing I did was have all the bolts in loose (rear support and motor) set the gear mesh, then tighten everything. Depending on how you twist the motor it may not fit correctly if you try to add brace in afterwards. |
The rear suport on the revo mount is made for feigao smooth or finned can, and the Neu finned can is larger than Feigao, so it's impossible that anyone of the both rear support fit.
I've tried of many way to fit it but nothing to do. The motor is bolt right at his place and the smaler rear support slot don't align with the 2 holes in the motor mount. I realy don't know how you can fit the rear suport with the Neu finned motor, but something should "pryied" very badly:gasp: Plus, the half moon shape in the rear mount realy don't match the motor can shape. |
I read on another forum that there was going to be a change in the can on the neu's a couple months ago. Maybe you guys have different versions of the finned can.

Maybe:neutral:
But the way that the Neu can is make, i think that's not necessary to support the rear of the motor, because the Neu don't have press frontbell like feigao motor. The can seem to be CNC from the front to the rear, just the rear bell is press. More solid design i think:yes: |
