My G-Revo, finally almost done
I have been meaning, to get pics of the G-revo for quite a while, but never could. I now have got some pics to share. This was one of the very first sold through Mike and RC-Monster, it was also my first purchase through Mike. the Revo itself is now 3 years old (whats left of it haha) and the chassis will be 2 in December. Over the last couple years, it has had a few different setups through it, Starting with an EVX and titans, Through my first brushless setup (novak HV 4400) to my MM/9xl/4 and 5s combo's, to now running a Neu 1515/2.5d (1700kv) with MGM 16018 and 5s LIPO's. I have broke a few arms and bent many rods, but till i got to the 9XL i couldn't break the diffs. Eventually it started to happen, after about the third or fourth rebuild, Mike got the 1/8 diffs done and i got a set. Now with the RC-Monster steel idler, Gmaxx half tranny conversion and the strobe, the drivetrain is nearly bomb-proof. The last piece to finish it will be a V2 slipperential, that will be got when available. Then it will be perfect.
The following pics are the chassis, the body is trashed and no need to show it. The battery straps are the origional ones, that came with the chassis. Don't ask how they held together, because i don't know. If not for his dedication, we couldn't enjoy this hobby as much as we do. |
Nice to see it is used and not collecting dust on shelf. :)
|
this truck has seen more abuse, than all of my other rc's combined and seems to ask for more
|
It's good to see brushless truck that has been beaten up a bit. It adds character.
|
Looks great. I can't beleive it has lasted you so long. Is this strictly a racer, or have you bashed with it too? Do you feel the chassis is a little week for bashing or does it come back asking for more?
|
Its been beaten, bashed and raced, i've had it over my head and jumped over 20 feet with it. its doesn't see much racing anymore, more of a basher now
|
Sounds good. I didn't know that chassis was that strong. I was planning on getting the GorillaMaxx chassis after something happens to the stock chassis, and now I am almost positive I'll go through with this plan.
Once again, your Revo looks killer. :intello: |
it has a slight bend in the X-brace, if you look closely at the left side shot, where the tranny mounts, there is a slight bend behind where the tranny is mounted. Overall i am very happy i got it when i did, it has been a good truck

Crazyjr, can you tell us how weight is your truck without the batteries in it?
Just curious if a G2R revo is hevier or lighter than my stock frame brushless revo:smile: Than you! David |
Without batteries, its 8 pounds 11.9oz, 10pounds 3.8oz with 5000 mah 5s (3s and 2s packs) maxamps batteries
|
OK thank, i've weight mine and it's almost the same thing, your's a little lighter than mine.
Mine is 9lbs, 2oz without batteries and 10lbs, 12oz with the FlightPower 5000, 4s, and i've a servo for the mechanical brake and Badlands tire, who's little eavier than your crime fighter MTR. But i don't have the RCM hybrid diff install yet, i've the stock unit with RD aluminium diff cup, so when i'll drop the 1/8 scale diff in the truck, it'll take somes grams!! Bye! David |

Don't know for the stock one:neutral: |
1515 2.5D on 5s...I like your style
Did you run your quark in this setup, before going to the MGM? |
