She was driving slow and got to much trigger. There was a pile of cement that jumped into her way. 45 mph into the pile. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.:surprised: NOW What!!!!!! At least I have an excuse to buy new stuff at her expense. Any one have an idea how to fix it with out buying a whole new chassis?

VintageMA 10.26.2007 09:34 PM

OMG:gasp:

I've never seen a truck bent up like that. I've crashed straight into a chain link fence post at 40 mph with my lst2 and didn't do anything close to that.

The one time I let my gf drive my lst2 she drove it straight into a big bush!

Hope you can repair!! (Or maybe this will be an excuse to buy some "upgrade" parts)

jhautz 10.26.2007 09:35 PM

:surprised:Ouch!!!!
NEVER underestimate the power of a woman. :sarcastic:

Could still be OK for a right hand circle track.....:oh:

jhautz 10.26.2007 09:37 PM

Looks like it just needs a front skid and maybe a front top plate. Doesnt Gmaxx sell replacement parts? I think the g3 stuff will still fit a g2 Chassis.

:rofl: Your right, but i'll never let my wife drive mine just to buy something at her expense:whip:

I'll continue to let enter my order by the underground windows, like i did since 4 years now.

But today, i've clean my workshop because all the box in which came my order take so much place in my workshop that i'll can't go in the shop.
But i've make a big mistake, i've take out all the boxes by the main door in the kitchen......
My wife ask me from where come all this boxes :whistle::whistle:

Now i think that i'll have a two week of auto-satisfaction:lol::rofl:

What did you expect from using intergy parts. Not that others wouldn't have bent, just mabye a lot less damage!
OOPS I didn't notice the gmax chasis, my eye just caught the intergy logo.

It you look, it looks like that is what was strong enough to not bend and simply transfer the impact to the chassis.

That looks like it hurt a little bit...

Solution to this problem is to have stuff mailed to your work address.

Thats the #1 reason i don't buy alumnium arms, you got to have a crumple zone other than the chassis. I hit a 1/4 by1/4" steel stake with my G2R, while racing one time. I hit it so fast (between 35 and 40), that the truck did a complete backflip. Only damage, was one arm

+1,on this little truck a "fuse" is necessary, and for me, the plastic is the better fuse you can have.
Aluminium have his own place, but not for arms:eyes:

well the worst hurt to the truck were those integy parts.

Here's the link for ya:

http://www.gorillamaxx.com/gmx07-replacements.html

Looks like the front skid plate will cost you $24 plus shipping. And if it isn't bent, the top servo plate is $26.

I did the same thing with my G2 when I had it. Just make sure it's the G3R chassis, the first price list is for the Maxx, just scroll down.
