Here's The Proof!

just thought i would let everyone know how my fist time out with my new truggy went. pics tell the story! the brushless system had no downfalls at all, zero issues.

no fans used! rc-monster went WAY above and beyond my expectations!:surprised:

Dafni 10.28.2007 02:36 PM

 Wow, very cool! I wish I could have been there too.

Mike and me were joking around when we worked on that truck, like, Man, that thing is so nice, that dude better go out and represent!

Thank you for holding up the electric flag! Way to go!

WHOOT! concrats Tallyram! that oval seems to be more my style of track too..

you used good stuff, Neu, MGM, flightpower.. what Neu is that btw? what wind?

jnev 10.28.2007 03:20 PM

Awesome!! Nice job. Way to represent!!

rchippie 10.28.2007 05:05 PM

they say they are willing to start a class just for us in the FL state series. would you be interested in racing you AWSOME truggy in the state series ?.

RC-Monster Mike 10.28.2007 05:54 PM

Sweet, Carl! Glad everything went as planned. Clearly you have the skills to handle the prime equipment as well. :)

glassdoctor 10.28.2007 06:35 PM

Nice trophy!!

Hey.. I won the truggy class at my local trophy race this year too. I don't think I have any cool pics though. :)

tallyram 10.28.2007 07:40 PM

thanks guys! i had a blast with the truggy. it took a few laps to get used to having no clutch again, but whan i finally hit wot , nothing could touch me! the nitros were hanging closer than i thought. at wot, i was 5- 10 mph faster on the straights.

dafni, i had to take your advice and put this thing through the ringer. everything was fine with the truggy except for my goof up. i tightened up the steering turnbuckle to much and it pushed its way through the plastic rod end, cracking it. put som ca on it and never looked back, cartwheels and all, lol!

serum, neu 2.5d, mgm 22418, 5s 5000mah flightpower.

rchippie, i would hit events near the tallahassee area. i don't travel much.

mike, thanks for all the help!

Congrats on the win tallyram!!

I tried to enter a small club championship (in sweden) with my brushless matrix but they wouldnt allow me race with an electric! :(

But if you think about it I can see their point, there are alot of restrictions on nitro buggies but there are none on brushless buggies/truggies. Is there any rules and/or restrictions with brushless in the states?

tallyram 10.29.2007 09:40 AM

the only "real" brushless racing is in 10th scale, right now. i think the only restriction is that it has to be rebuildable like novak or lrp systems. and then there are classes for different motors like a 27.5 class or a 10.5 class.

neweuser 10.29.2007 10:00 AM

Very nice. Too bad they won't get further ahead on this race scene. Meaning, come out with better specifications on rules so guys can go and race in more classes.

DickyT 10.29.2007 10:38 AM

That's 1 sweet truggy and congrats on the win. Chalk one up for the electrics!
