MGM Compro 8012, E-Maxx, Novak HV 4.5, 2s2p Lipo
MGM Compro 8012, E-Maxx, Novak HV 4.5, 2s2p Lipo (not that's the subject line I've been searching for)
How well would the 8012 compro work with this set up? It indicates 1/10th scale arena. Although I don't see the maxx as 1/10th but others do. I haven't kept mine to a very strict diet, but it is beefed up where needed. Thanks. |
Is anybody else running a MGM compro 8012 in an e-maxx? Is the maxx to heavy for it?
|
I guess it doesn't work very well if no one has tried it in their maxx. Thanks.

Hey your welcome glad I could help out.

I'm sure the 8012 would work with the right motor, but the Novak will pull too many amps while running. Most consider the Novak as a starter system and something to move up from. Even if the setup works the motor would probably overheat anyways. the Novak provides more juice and i believe that helps with cool running.

a 2s2p setup in a maxx? that doesnt seem right...

He might have meant 2S2P on each side for a 4S2P set up. I've used a 40 and 60A controller on my heavy BPP truck without a problem. In my case it all came down to gearing.

Thanks to all of you for reply to my ?Yeah it was (2) 2s2p lipos.
Novak is a great starter system that why I am looking to get something better that's not chained to two motors. So I was looking at a two stage upgrade. An esc that I can run with my current motors and batteries. Can't run my HV ESC with other motors. Then a motor to run with that later. I don't know the numbers but maybe the 8012 is to close to line. I got closer to upgrading though. The $ I had for the esc burnt through my pocket and ended up at maxamps. |
