Need a killer Maxx setup
Hey everybody, I'm looking for a good BL setup for my E-Maxx. I'm a basher primarily, although I might take the thing to the race track some time. I'd like to see 40, maybe a little more. Anything above and beyond that would be nifty, but very rarely used. Run time is very important. I plan on running at least 3300's, maybe higher depending on what I can find. I'd like to stay at or below 14 cells if possible, and price is a concern. I don't mind spending money on a quality setup, but I work at a hobby shop, not a computer company, so I don't make massive amounts of money.
Here's a basic listing of what I've done to my truck so far... PL suspension, steering, rod ends, bumpers, Mulchers Integy bulks, shocks, rear diff housing, diff collars Bombproof Torpedo chassis Dynamite CVD's front, MIP's center and rear Trinity heat sink motor plate Hitec 5645 steering servo Traxxas spool in rear, center skid RPM wear plates f/r |
I say; XL2800 or a 9L and a 9920.. (you could use the heatsink for the 9L, though i don't know about the quality of the cooling from that trinity. The rc-monster heatsink is nice as well, it also holds the can together (9L))
Welcome to the forum. I hope you do find the information you are looking for here.! Quote:

hmmm well just my thaut i would go with a 9l and a 9920 as surum said iv asked this question before its one of the best n cheapiest setups for the maxx

I agree with Serum 100%. If the truck is heavy, go with the 9L. For most, the xl2800 is better, as it will provide better runtime and even slightly better speed given the same gearing.
