E-Maxx diff advice needed.
 

I have been reading a bunch of threads about this and can't make up my mind. What would you do?

I have gray bulks, OE diff case, FLM Al cup, modified ring gear with 3mm screws, and 3.3 slider shafts.

1. Buy FLM hybrid bulks, the 1/8 HPI drop in diff, 3.3 out put shafts
   or
2. Buy UE diff cases and use my existing gears?

Option number one.

I would choose option #1 as well.
UE cases are $70 a set aren't they? So $140 for 2, that's the same price as the FLM hybrids, but the hybrids have aluminum bulks built in.
Stock diffs gears may last a while with al cases, but with your setup they'll always be a weak spot, so 1/8th diffs may be less hassle in the long run.
I suppose if you don't want to spend $270 in one go (again) you could use the UE cases with stock diffs for now and get the HB diffs later on, but I would prefer the hybrids if it was me.

It would be a shame to use plastic bulks on that chassis that is headed your way!

I ran the combo bulks with flm diff cup's and loved it. With your motor you may want a beefier diff though.

or, option #3: wait a month or so until traxxas releases the new emaxx diffs. much cheaper, and you can sell the diffs you have. (the big question is if they're really as tough as traxxas touts :whistle:)

Scott I thought about that, since my stockers are holding up so well, but I have a FLM chassis coming so I think I am going with the hybrids.
