Center Diff???

I'm almost finished with my LST2 conversion and was looking into a Truggy or Buggy conversion next, and with center diff's, are you still able to go into reverse?

Also, do you still have to use the meachanical brakes or can the controller handle the braking also?

I'm looking at a GM Storm SUT and Jnev's Xterminator right now.

Yes, you can use reverse, and no you don't have to use the mech. brakes, but its wise to. Its easier on the controller and I personally prefer them since you can adjust the brake bias.

I noticed you have the highest bid right now as well.

It mainly depends on what you are used to. If you raced nitro, then you will probably want the mechanical brakes. However, if you only bashed with nitro, you probably won't notice a huge difference between each braking set up. This is how it was for me at least.

Yup, I'm watching both your auctions like a hawk. I only bash and was planning on running an MM. I love the programmablity of it.

Thats what I ran in mine. It worked flawlessly. I ran a fan on it, and it never got above 130*F under normal conditions.

how do you plan on using reverse with a vehical with mechanical breaks?

jnev 11.07.2007 11:14 AM

I am not sure how exactly you can do that, but i was using the motor brakes, which worked perfect for me. I also disabled reverse on the ESC. I just had forward/brake using motor brakes.

You can't have mech brakes and reverse, unless you want to put brakes on ch3 or something wierd like that (and wouldn't work well.)

If you have to have rev, you have to have motor brakes.

Personally I prefer the mech at the expense of rev myself.
