My Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium 10 (LS10)

Heres a few pics of my LS10. I had a mm/feigao setup running 4s, and recently changed it. Now it has a hacker 13l and a quark 65. Batteries are a homemade maxamps 5s 3000mah pack. Radared the truck and it ran 44mph. Soooooooo much power, even with the slipper set loose it pulls wheelies. Time to change out the stock servo for a digital and a better servo saver, it is a little sloppy at speed. Still a very stable truck. Tires are proline gladiators on associated truck wheels. Very happy with the tires, great grip and they are wearing very well considering the power! I am extremely pleased with the hacker motor, does not even get warm with this setup, and it is soooo smooth on startup. Much better motor than the feigao, really no comparison!

That looks like a killer setup!

Is it just me, or does your motor/pinion a little bit skewed from the spur gear?
(Pics 3-4)

Also, the best part about your avatar is that it looks like Kermit is wearing a huge Rastafarian hat.

to me it just looks like the outer coating has worn down and there's some surface rust.

oh, nice truck. i can't wait to put mine through the paces.

I thought the same thing, but it is a combination of a slightly off angle photo and the fact that the chassis gets wider towards the rear of the truck. I actually looked at it one day and thought that the bulkheads had broken, just an optical illusion:rofl:

You will have a good time with your truck, it is one of my favorite rcs to play with.

Great looking truck. I noticed that there are quite a few Lightning Stadium 10's popping up.

BTW - That receiver looks awfully familiar.

Thanks for the kind words Josh!

The LS10 is a great truck to convert, cheaper than an 1/8 scale but still big enough to have fun with, plus it is more stable than a 2wd electric (rustler, stampede, etc)

Not sure why that receiver would look familiar to you? You sent me a novak and an airtonics receiver when we traded. Good to see that both of your trucks sold on ebay, what is your next project?

I know this is 3 years old but if your still here how did you make that sweet ass motor mount and how is mounted? I would like to try to duplicate yours. Thanks.

Bit of CF bolted to the brake holes I would guess on the centre diff

V Ghetto old skool - What car is it for - Does mike not have a mount?

There's a mount for it but id rather make one then pay $45. No offense. I have a few rcmonster mounts including the Muggy mount but this one is a budget project. Got the roller for $30 and wanna make a cheap mount. I just dont know how to drill out the holes and the slot for moving the motor in the mount to set the mesh.

Arct1k 06.07.2010 10:42 PM

Measure - Measure - Chain drill and file/dremel...

Or support the monster and safe yourself a lot of trouble...

I bought this truck from Linc and have since sold it to a friend. He may sell you the mount. Alternatively he'd probably sell you the whole roller dirt cheap. It would come with 4 paddle tires, 4 gladiators(best ls10 tire) and 4 wheels with 2 street tires. Lowball me an offer

nitrostarter 06.07.2010 11:24 PM
