ebay ? can i change to canada shipping after bids have started

i have a potential bidder on my auction and i had it set to us only. i was going to allow canadian buyers, but i can't find the option. one of my coworkers said he thinks its because once i have bids, i'm limited to changing things on my listing. is this true and is there a way around it?

The only way would be to cancel the bids that have been placed and end the auction because of an error in the listing. You could then relist it with the corrections. The only thing is that ebay will charge you listing fees again.

you're fine - ebay doesn't care who wins the bid. just make sure your paypal preferences are set up to accept non-US funds.

the bidder said he can't bid on the item though.

well you can always get the canadian bidder to give you a final price, have him pay through paypal, and end the auction early. it skips ebay fees. :mdr:

i could swear i've had US only auctions, and people outside the US bid on them. maybe i'm wrong. (i probably am, but i swear it happened....)

yeah, i put on my item discription that i'll accept offers so i'll just have him make me one.
