Revo motor mount stripped thread...

I was running my Revo today, doing some small jumps (maybe 2 feet high, 7 - 8 feet far) and some speed runs on the local baseball diamond and soccer field. The truck was running great, until I had a little spill. I went off the jump (same size as above) landed on the front bumper a little, but the truck didn't flip. It wasn't a hard landing or anything like that. Lets just say, that it was as graceful as it could have been. lol But when i went to accelerate, the spur and pinion separated.

This has happened to me before, and today when I came home from the bash, I took the motor off and looks at the mount closely, and the whole front plate was able to move side to side, about a millimeter. So I went to tighten it, and the hex wrench kept turning. I thought it was a stripped thread on the screw, so I tried another... same thing. So I came to the conclusion that the thread is stripped in the bottom plate of the mount.

From my experience with Mike, his machine work is top notch and I have never seen better work done than his. Maybe I just got a bad mount from the batch he made, because I bought the mount a while back, but this was the first time I really ran the truck decently hard going full speed, etc, not so many jumps though.

So my question is, is there some sort of warranty for Mike's parts? Or is it possible to just buy the bottom plate? Let me know. Thanks.

Just send him a E-mail or, since I think he's on the forums now, a PM, or possibly he'll see this thread and answer your question. But it shouldn't be a problem to get a replacement...

Sounds good. I'll wait until a little later tonight to PM him, but hopefully he'll see this thread.

If you PM him later, he might not get it. He doesn't get on the forums to much anymore.

PM sent.

Are all 3 front holes stripped, Josh? It would take a LOT of force to strip all 3 m3 screws simultaneously if they were tight(consider that the motor itself only has 2 of the same screws in less material). Something had to be wrong somewhere. Email me and we will get it straightened out. :)

Yep, all 3 front holes. I have no idea how it could have happened...

I sent you an email Mike by the way.
