startup cogging ?
 

Hi !

One of my friends has a konverted inferno st truck with a feago 8xl and a mm esc and runs it on 4s 5000mah fp packs, and he has some cogging issues if he floors it from a standstill what can cause this ?
He runs a 16/48 gearing combo and has the lvc set to 12,5v.

Odd. Is he using a receiver pack/ubec?
Did he programmed the mamba to his receiver/transmitter?

1 . yes he has a 10amp u-bec
2 . Yes

what happens if he disables the LVC, just for the test.

Is the pack fully charged ?.

it coggs even with the wheels of the ground !! :(

Are the pinion and spur too close and/or tightly meshed together?

no it coggs even without any pinion:diablo: when you go from reverse to full forward and if you let the motor turn at maby 100rpm and the peg the trottle.

Does he have any punch control set? What are his timing options and startup power?

Bud...I think something is broke. I have an 8XL and a Mamba here and just for giggles I put it in my FLM MAxx with 3S...no cogging. I even tried several different pinions...no cogging. I even reset the Mamba to factory defaults and still no cogging.

I know you said you were running 4S with a UBEC...but that shouldn't make a difference...

would a loose connection or bad solder joint cause this? might not hurt to check.
