Which Lipo Battery To Use With Mamba Max Esc?
 

I Have A E-revo Project Which Has The Tekno Brushless Conversion Kit,mamba Max Esc, Feigao 9xl Motor,15t Clutch Bell, 38t Spur Gear, And Stock Tranny 2nd Gear Locked, Cvd's All Around, Front,back, And Centers, Manual Brakes,and A Ubec. My Question Is Which Lipo Should I Buy? I'm Mainly Going To Bash With This Revo On Loose To Hard Surfaces. Looking For Long Run Times With Some Nice Top End Around 40mph Max. Just Don't Want To Fry Anything. I'm Looking At Max Amps Lipos, But Which One To Get? 6000, 8000, Or Something Smaller, Any Recommendations Would Be Very Helpful.

Well you aren't going to get 40 with 15/38 and stock 2nd gear with a 9XL unless you go to a 6S pack, which I would definitely not run with your MM. If you need it that fast then you need to run something like an 18/36 or 18/34, and probably use the wide ratio gear set. I think you should put the 2 speed back on, helps keeps temps low, easier on clutch, and will give you wheelies, plus, you should reach the top speed faster. Now, after saying that, I think a 6000 or 8000 4S pack would be best for you. Lotsa runtime and the weight is nor a big penalty for bashing. I would go with a TrueRC 8000mah 4S pack, go back to the 2 speed, change the gearing like Matthew said, put a center diff w/adjustable f/r bias (improves handling drastically), and maybe a wide ratio set. Seems like alot, but it would be one kickass setup.

Thanks For The Info, I Forgot To To Say In The Thread I Have The Wide Ratio Gear Set In The Tranny, And I Knew Gearing (spur And Clutch Bell ) Would Play A Major Role In Getting To 40mph.
