Lipo vs a .308 sniper rifle
4 Attachment(s)
I have been saying I would try to post a vid of me shooting a lipo. I did it but I can't get to the video yet. :grrrrrr: (stupid camera) I am still trying to get the video posted but your not missing much anyways. It was very anti-climatic. I was hopping for a good show. The best thing to happen was the one cell you see all blown up flew 30 feet back at me:surprised:. I placed the lipo 50 feet out from me and the 30 back at me did take my breath away. Sorry T-maxx no screaming from me. But no fire works.:neutral:Anyways here are the pictures of what I could get off the camera. Enjoy!:mdr:

Cool, did it start on fire or what are we looking at?
|
The 4 additional pictures you see are a cell blown up. I am not sure how but thats the way it landed. No fire what so ever. Like I said it was very anti-climatic. The 2 cells not blown up puffed up pretty good. I checked them the next day but no pictures.

incendiary or tracer round might have produced better results... Doubt it though.
If you want to have a big bang, take a gallon of gasoline in a plastic milk jug, put it about 8 feet from a lit propane torch than shoot (the milk jug, not the torch) from AT LEAST 50 yards "not safe, wear hearing protection, flamible, fire, disclaimer, disclaimer, disclaimer" p.s. if you do it at night observers should enjoy it all the more :) |
Not so fun. You have to hit the gallon just right. I personaly like shooting the little camping bottles of propane. They make a good show. None of them react to a bullet the same way. Very unique.
I also like tannerite. Look that up on you tube. Good stuff. :yipi: |
.308 sniper rifle (I'll asume at least M.O.A.) at 50 yards, hitting the gallon just right? kind of a no brainer, but I'll check how my 10 year old does the next time were at the range :) Propane bottles are fun but I've never seen one actually ignite, just kind of gass out... Time to bring a few to the mens campout for experements hehe.
