12020 Warrior repair
Does anyone know how to get a repair on a 12020? I have e-mailed BK, but no response. Any help would be appreciated. I can do basic electronics, but repairing this is out of my league.

What kind of trouble are you having? Is it smoked?

same here but with mgm . if anyone knows , i emailed and no reply !

I think I overheated it. The front center drive broke and I was playing with it 2WD. It was really fast, I think it overheated it is skipping - kind of cogging - over anything above 1/4 throttle. The shrink wrap around one of the capacitors is melted. The melted shrick wrap actually happened months ago, and it was working fine until now. I don't know what smoked is, there was never any smoke. I never took the temp, I just assumed that is the problem when I drove it 2wd.

almost sounds like there is a drive train issue , stripped gears somewhere along the line. can you test the brushless setup in another truck ? or it is totally not turning on ?

You could always try calling them. It isnt expensive as you would think to call Germany. They speak good english I called there when I got my 9920 fixed.

Thanks all! I put the old titans back on, and it works fine - so the drive train is ok. I will e-mail with the address above and then call if I don't hear back.

Petr from MGM has always responded quickly to me. BK OTOH, you may get a better response if you addressed the letter directly to Santa. lol
you may be able to more easily repair it yourself if its just a capacitor thats dead. Mike may help you out if you bought it from him. His quote to me about a BK repairing a busted 9920 was "it prolly cheaper and faster just to buy a new one." g/l |
