Emaxx Transmission?

I have an emaxx tranny in my revo. and i am using a servo to shift it from 1st to 2nd. Is there a way i can just lock it into 2nd gear so i can eliminate the servo?
Thanks

Yes, you could add the gmaxx singlespeed conversion, which takes away all the unneeded parts.

It's a bit pricey though, but a nice solution if you can swing it.

A more affordable option would be to use the drivedog/coupler from that gmaxx conversion. I don't know if Mike still has them, but he used to have them for about 15 bucks or so.

Another option would be to put two M3 screws through the drivedog and the gear itself. If you use self clamping locknuts it can be pretty strong too.

I did this. Pull out the drivedog wish bone. Mine fell apart. New gears fixed the problem but pull it out to be safe.

I just kept a old servo in place with a linkage and cut the wire off.

Now manually just move the servo if I ever want to crawl...

I took out the drive dog and it worked:)
I plan on gettin the single speed here soon.

I like the single speed conversion. With it you also get a weight reduction and less rotating mass. Here is my poor attempt of a how to thread:
