Electric Motors

Just Recently Got In The Electric Scene And Need Some Info On Motors. I Have Just Acquired A Very Special Truck And Want To Put The Very Best On It When It Comes To The Motor. Money Is No Object. Just Want The Best. Any Info Will Be Greatly Appreciated.
Thanks
LET ME ADD SOMETHING ELSE TO THIS THREAD. THE TRUCK IS AN EMAXX AND IT IS JUST A ROLLER. I HAVE AN OTB TRANNY AND NEED THE REST. LIKE I SAID I AM VERY NEW TO THIS AS ALL I HAVE EVER HAD IS NITRO.

what is the truck? that would help determine the size of the motor?

what else are you running with it? what esc? what batteries? all of this plays a role in deciding which motor

If money isn't an issue, I think the baddest motor for the truck might be a Plettenberg Big Maxximum. I've never had one myself but I've talked to several who have. It's a very nice motor and one that you don't see every day, which makes it even more cool.

I would say a Lehner 1950ish. Good motor!!!

How about a Neu 1527. I have not ever seen one of these in a land vehicle.

i talked to the guy.

hes using it for a pure show truck

so the cooler looking the motor the better. i told him the pletenberg also. badass looking

for show the bigmaxx get's my vote also....

Is this a stock Emaxx, or some 99% alloy thing? BigMaxximum gets my vote too.

he said it was titanium and aluminum.

Neu is the best motor for a monster truck in my opinion, I have had from 9xl to lehner 2240, the neu 1515 is the best for me. The larger 1527 and other neu motors take longer to spin up so they will feel less powerful in most situations plus they weigh more. I say mirror polish a Neu motor if you want something that looks totally crazy too.

Since the Neu motors are anodized, it might be easier to have one shipped direct from Neu the way you want. Those bigmaxximums do look sexy though...

For sure, they look just like those big Motors we use at work... almost an exact replica.... :mdr: But a polished motor would be nice too... or the Finned Hacker motor would be nice too...
