CRT .5 shock option?

I was wondering if there are any shock upgrades for the crt .5? I keep having problems with the front ones leaking oil. Thanks for the help on the matter.

I know people are using the ofna DM-1 shocks for the front, and I *think* front buggy shocks for the rear

Read around in this thread, and you will find it....

Go from the end to the start, its only a few pages back if I remember right

I thought my CRT.5 shocks were leaking because of excess oil on the shaft, but when I removed the top cap and looked through the bladder, there was no air in the system. I believe that the shocks were just a bit over filled and the excess oil was purged until there was no more excess pressure.

I found it!

Post 1121, there CRT shocks for the rear, and DM-1 for the front.... And I also saw that jato springs work on the DM-1 shocks.....

GO: i thought that too, but when i pull open the top, the bladder has fallen into the shock, and half of the oil has come out.

Blacked: yeah i was looking at that too, but i cannot seem to find the parts for the DM-1 shocks anywhere now, and also, i found the crt shocks on ebay for a nice price but we shall see if i win them. didnt know they were that pricey :(

It's the CRT 1/8 FRONT shocks that fit on the rear of the CRT.5, right?

Yes

Dark,

Do you know the part numbers to build the shocks?

GO-RIDE.com 12.10.2007 07:50 PM

Here's the part list to build the DM1 shocks. They were listed on another site and the poster said if you call Nitrohouse they will know what you need.

40630 - Plastic parts needed for the front shocks
40090 - O'rings
40736 - DM-1 Bodies w/ Caps
40737 - Shock Shafts w/ Pistons
40634 - Shock Spring Adj. Collar
40636 - O'ring for Spring Collar
40640 - Shock Bladders
MUGE0505 Springs
MUGC0594 Springs

Mugen springs? Huh......

I will have to think about all this =)

thanks man

GO-RIDE.com 12.10.2007 08:44 PM

Here was another guys take on springs:
"Everyone I see has a different spring set-up. I'm running cut
jammin yellow rears(0.58) on the front and short Mugen blues
(0.77)-#E0505 on the rear. I also run the cut Mugen white(0.74)
#C0594 on the front and the front jammin yellow(0.71) on the rear."

I think id use the jato spring option personally

But theres some options when you look

Thanks

For a REALLY stiff suspension, use a set of Revo springs.

BlackedOutREVO 12.10.2007 10:36 PM

That would be the fronts though, which would be weird to have stiff..... IMO

dark96 12.10.2007 11:31 PM

GO: yeah i looked on nitro house to try to build it the way that site talked bout...but couldn't find the actual shock cylinder, part number 40737. :( and just had to once again rebuild the front shocks...though on nitrohouse the part 40736 is the shock shaft, and 40737 i'm guessing is the shock body. NM i found it, but now i'm try`n to get all the parts that they ahve listed to order, and cant figure out if i need more than one on some of these or not.

I may try and mount my revo shocks to my CRT.5...
