coolhandcountry 07.19.2005 09:13 PM

They supposed to turn on the emaxx.

TwzteD 07.19.2005 09:23 PM

really it feels weird like its not suposed to happen like when i push it it dont roll it like hard to pushn makes a weird noises like the motors spining

Sounds perfectly fine. EMaxx has no clutch, remember. And no OneWay Bearings or any other device that would make it freewheel.

Wanna play with it Tonka style? Just take off the pinions :L:

Serum 07.20.2005 02:59 AM

Thanks for the tip Daniel..

Dafni 07.20.2005 05:24 AM

No problem, Rene. Here's another hint: I have a sand pit in my backyard, and my son got my old Tonka bulldozer ;) (means: get yourself a kid, and you're officially allowed to Play Again)

Major Azzwoopin 07.20.2005 09:59 AM

Dafni is right. A little boy just opens the flood gates to all of the "new toy" potential. If the wife gives you any grief, its an easy defense. "Look how much the little ones like them, and how much they are learning." and man is it awesome to see their eyes light up when something new comes in or when you finish making repairs to get his favorite vehicle back in action. And now my little boy doesn't even want to sleep. He goes to bed and keeps calling me in to ask about the trucks, until after 11:00pm...then he is up first thing in the morning 6:00 wanting to go race trucks. I HAVE CREATED AN RC-MONSTER JR...
I was in my local hobby shop (hobbytown in Frederick Md) they just moved into an old furniture store, and paved the back half of the floor and built a racing tower and integrated lap timers and computerized lap and race monitors. Electric only since it is inside. So I plan on having my 2 and a half year old racing the 200mm electrics in there against the grown ups this winter. Can you imagine getting beat by a little guy in diapers on the rae track....talk about some ego devastation..LOL

I was 7 and got a HUGE technical lego box from my dad... (big race car with a gearbox with a 3 speed transmission, differential, adjustable seats and a 4 cilinder boxer engine..

Guess who did the construction of my ride..... I give you a hint... It had a beard and a mustache..

(and i did not had the PGHGS (Premature Gorilla Hair Grow Syndrome..))

@ dafni; It more sounds like an invitation to visit your sandpit!

Dafni 07.20.2005 04:09 PM

LOL
Rene, I think I had the exact same Lego kit. It was huge, back then. I can remember this chuncky bumper, the black chassis and red seats...are you with me?

About the invitation: Anytime you want, mate! We can play in the sandpit when the kids are asleep:L: During the day we could play with the big toys, too.

Serum 07.20.2005 04:40 PM

Okay!! would be great...!! I'll start packing my RC collection.. And yes, i am with you completely! That big bumper, allmost forgot.. it was rather complicated in construction for a bumper.. those seats.. Nice.. Last time when i was in France, i got bored because of the rain, i went to the toystore and bought some new Lego boxes.. Keeping the little boy inside allive... Pneumatic and that new type of the car.. (though it's not the same, with the special molded plastic parts.. i like the old style lego the most..)

coolhandcountry 07.20.2005 04:42 PM

You didn't put the pinion to tight to sput gear. that make some more noise than normal.

Serum 07.20.2005 04:43 PM

Which is very likely indeed! did you meshed the pinion/spur propperly?

Dafni 07.20.2005 04:52 PM

Yeah right. Check the mesh!

We got carried away, eh, Serum? BTW, I'm also with you about the new-school Legos. Hey, do you remember those tubes on this old car? On the engine, they were attached by those (water)tabs?? I loved them!

Can you say Chatter Boxes :L:

Sorry for the hijack.

Serum 07.20.2005 05:01 PM

Yeah, the blue and silver water taps!! I think i have still got that car.. I remember you could also build the dragstar from that box..

@twisted; did you solved your problem?

Just to stay on topic :L:

Rene, we should ask Mike for a Tonka and Lego section.
