Hv maxx and stock gearing?

Yes i know its a bad idea, but still i run it and never experienced thermal shutdown on 12 cells, would it really be neccessary to down gear to novaks recommended, the latest gearing they issued seems like it would make the truck really slow.

Thanks...

this pretty much says it all...

Keep yourself from burning your hvmaxx and do as instructed is my opinion.

Yer but i went around a whole gp3300 run, with out thermerlling, so they may be just over protective, becuase them recommendations, would mean i would'nt even hit 30.

+ living in the uk means, parts are hard to get and alot more expensive...

I've also cut the front window out to allow air flow over the motor.

Sell it and get a 9L with a 9920!!

hv-maxx-kid 07.20.2005 04:39 PM

just brought it lol,

The speed of it is plenty for me at the moment + i would'nt have a clue how to solder the thing lol

You could have Mike soldered the needed goodies on.. But that HV maxx is nice though!! running as smooth as possible.. You might consider keeping the gearing as it is, but keep a close eye on that temps..
