T4 CF Battery Strap for the CRT.5.

3 Attachment(s)
I bought a Team Associated T4 carbon fiber battery strap for my CRT.5 truggy and I had to drill in a 6mm hole on both sides of the strap to make use of it on my truggy. Now, the only thing left to do and make the strap more suitable for the truggy is to shorten the extra lenghts at both sides. I added velcro tapes above and under the lipo pack and I also put one on the CF strap to make a strong press on the batt so as to avoid sliding.

If Mike can buy a pile of these T4 CF straps and modify them to the required length, it'll be more convenient for him than to make an aluminum one from scratch. Not to mention that CF looks more killer than aluminum when both are combined.

That is very nice! Also, that is a 2500mAh flightpower, right? I'm thinking of getting one soon, I puffed my truerc 4s 4200:oh: I'm also gonna get a smaller, lighter motor like a mega. How do you like the flightpower?

Bye:mdr:

They're amazing, C.Gates. They're the first lipos I've used and I don't think there is anything better than the FlightPowers. The problem is that, since the pack I'm using is 2500mah 4s1p, it dies very fast. I'm also using the LMT 1930/5 which sucks loads of amps. I think I should get a Kontronik Twist-37, because it's alot easier on the batts.

Can you tell me how long the CF strap is? (before any cutting)

Looks great.

Nice work. I wanted to do the same thing with my hard case batts, but they stuck too far over the side of the car for my liking. Consider moving your ESC to the front of the car and the batt to the back. You could route the wires along the top of the batt strap. This would give you a better weight bias for handling.

OOO

I need one, I am going to go look for it lol, its very nice!

Good idea!

EDIT

What about the TC5 strap? It needs less cutting (I think)

The TC5's strap is hard to work on with all the cuts on it's surface.

Also, the T4 strap is long enough to keep 7 sub-c cells in place. I think in it's original length, it'll hold down a 3s-4s FP 5000mah pack with no problem. Like I said, the sides where the strap originally mounts need to be cut. 5-6mm holes should be made, too.

Well im using a TrakPower pack, so id think it would fit real good...

I will go to the track and try someone strap, if its no good, the T4's is cheaper lol
