Your thoughts on FLM shock towers?
I'm trying to get some feedback on these. They look awesome and are super adjustable. I'm not sure how strong the body post mounts are because they're not captured. Any experiences?
Also is 34 grams lighter than stock? |
Crash. I am running the shock towers on my emaxx now. They are strong. The body post I run stock. Just screw the 3mm screws right in to the plastic and they are there. You will break them before you get them off. As far as lightness i don't know if they lighter than stock or the same. They are lighter than integy.

I run them on my Stocker E-maxx with the stock body posts. They are 10 fold better than the stock shock towers and a lot easier to adjust. The stocker gets a lot more bashing action then my BL setup so I would say there pretty durable.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably get them just for the adjustability factor. However, I'm still curious about the stock shock tower's weight.

the stock ones weight 24 gramms.

Thanks serum.
I used to run the aluminum body mount. I busted up a couple shock towers that way. I went back to plastic on them. The plastic mounts are cheaper than aluminum shock tower. |
best thing to do is using plastic bodyposts.. Those things kill your body and the towers as well. You found out the hard way.. ;)
|
I busted to integy shock towers off. I flm combo bulk survived no problem though.
|
Integy's are molded, not the best to get for a shocktower imo..

I got me some flm. I like them alot better. They are lighter and seem to be stronger as well.I don't know if they the best or lightest but i like them.

what about the gorillamaxx g1s? are they lighter or heavier?
