First Neumotor
I got it and noticed that it doesn't spin freely like the other cheap motors. Why is that? It turns a lot harder, you can really feel the magnets when you turn it.
|
torque from the 4 poles...
|
have you installed it in your truck yet?
once you do you will see why. these things are amazing. |
Mine was like that, but once installed it is sweeeet!
|
I think it's mostly to do with it having a slotted stator.
|
^ +1. Motors with slotted stators have a greater magnetic attraction since the magentic field is being concentrated via a metal core. But, since the field is concentrated, the rotor range where this attraction is strongest is smaller.

Of course, I just thought I would expand on your initial statement...

Is this a Neu 1500? My Neu 1900 also cogs heavily and have been curious to know if the 1500s are the same.
I think my Hacker C40 is the only free spinning motor that I've seen before... |
I haven't had any cogging with my 1515 1y.
|
I have not ran it yet, waiting for my esc to get repaired, I blew both my quark and MGM :(. I think my quark will get here next week.

I put an 8xl in, but ran a low gear, and set my radio EPA to 65%. That setup ran fine for a while. While I was running in the sand racing it stopped. From that point on, the ESC would not turn any motor. To test that, I got a motor that another ESC could turn, but the MGM would not, and no beeping. So I'm not sure if it was my killing the motors or what. |
OK, i came to the conclusion that they don't have any real good ESC:neutral:
We can pay $300.00 or $500.00 for an ESC and that's not a proof that the ESC will be better than a cheap $100.00 one. My friend have run a brushless LST2 with a Nemesis Blue and a MM on 4s, all summer long, without any trouble...... And the LST2 is way heavier than the Maxx or revo!!! |
