Toasted my ESC?
 

Whats up everyone?.. Well the other night I went and plugged in my battery after a charge and out from under my 1970 Chevy C10 hood arose some smoke.. After unplugging the battery and lookin to see what started to smoke I noticed it coming from my ESC.. I have the CC Mamba Max 6T. brushless setup.. I'm assuming I'll have to buy another ESC.. :whip:

Yeah, the ESC is most probsbly toast. Before you go get another ESC, I would try to see if there was anything wrong that caused it. Maybe the motor leads were shorted? Maybe the motor is bad? What voltage were you running? If over 2s or 7 cells, were you using an external BEC or the internal ESC BEC?

IIRC, Castle will repair it for $50...

im running a DTX 4200 7V... i should go to their website i'll assume..lol..
