Has anyone seen these? Cen ME16 MT

From the little bit I have seen of them they are based on the nitro version (find them in the second link) so the drive train should be tough. Also they can fit a full size 1/10th electric setup including battery stock. I didn't think cen made great stuff (i am ignorant when it comes to Cen) but these are getting rave reveiws (nitro version) on another forum i'm on.

Has anyone used the electric version? Is it any good? Is it even out?

I have never tied or seen one of these ME16s in real life, but if they are anything like the Matrix Buggy... The damn things will be bullet proof. I have whipped my cen buggy relentlessly and it just keeps coming back for more. I originally bought my first cen cuz it was cheap in comparison to others with the same features, but I kept my cen cuz it was just a damn tough buggy.

looking at it closer that looks like it could be fun. Imagine a 1/16th with a Mamba max!

That's what I thought. On closer inspection though they have rounded the corners of the battery tray which is annoying but a good lipo would probably still fit easily. It also looks like a manufacturer nitro conversion. A lot of the part to me look identical to the nitro version.

You may have to use the peak lipos with the stick pack shape, 3600 2s lipo on a mm 7700 would make it fly!

Nice find Arct1k. They in stock and cheap. I think when other retailers get them they will get cheaper too. The nitro version can be found for slightly cheaper then that. Still a good price though.

the RC driver review said none of the cars ever bottomed out off jumps, not even the sedan lol, the bodies look pretty bad in a very bad way. I think its awesome they accept 2.2 wheels and a regular battery pack.

How about this? I am thinking a direct to tire outrunner conversion. Probably on 12s lipo. May not have the speed that I am looking for though:wink:

Great idea using that motor, but it would only work if you use true four wheel drive.
One motor per corner, 4 ESCs and 12S LiPo. Should get well over 12 mph. Good luck and please post photos of it a. leaving the ground; and b. leaving Earth orbit.

I was only going to do 2wd, for greater stability and weight distribution. I have a feeling that if I go with 4 of these things that I may need to step up to 16s. I wonder if maxamps could make me a pair of 8s 10000 packs. That way I could move them around the chassis till I get the balance correct.

I am not sure if I have a camera that has good enough resolution to show the cen leaving orbit, maybe if I paint the body yellow it will show up.

looks killer. Like it'd chew my mlst up and spit it out.

looks like the QC dept. didn't proof that page close enough when switching from nitro to electric. 'High flow manifold with rear exit exhaust' is listed at the bottom.

the battery included - is it a ni-mh stick pack??

I think it is a NiCd standard 1/10th stick pack
