I would suggest the 3080 7 turn on 14s10p neu 25c 5500mah lipo, with a Schulze future-40.300K, that setup is gonna cost you about 7,000 I bet you could take it on top gear and go down in history. Plus it would qualify you for a major tax credit (electric car), so it would practically pay for itself.

Is there a way to run a brushless off a throttle without a radio or computer? I seen on Mythbusters, Where Jamie built an assender with a Neu but i didn't see how he did it. This would be a cool around town commuter. I'm far from a green loving, tree hugger. I know when electric cars come into their own, they will go toe to toe with gas for power and fun

Building a throttle would be easy, you would still need the brushless controler though

I have thought that one of the smaller ATVs would make an excellent RC

Quote on this controler:
"Here is the "Mother of All ESC's", the SHV 200. It might look like a battery charger, but let me tell you, this is the big dog on the block when it comes to speed controllers. It's a 200 amp ESC that's rated to 90V (22s) and 22,000 watts! What that means is that this ESC can handle up to 30 horse power!"

Three of those and that's capable of handling as much hp as a freaking vw bug. But wouldn't a hydra 240 be better? I could only imageine how much that is. And less amp capability.might be because of the power and cell rating but that's why I am asking becausing I am a newb.

I also hear there is a 250 and 300 amp version. Power = Amps X Volts
