i need opinions, brushless e maxx e revo and europe
 
hello new to the show.
i currently have a e-maxx with a novak 6.5 hv and most rpm brand parts (all around a-arms, shock towers bulkhead braces, ) i also have aluminum bulkheads, 3.3 axels and knuckles, steel center axels plus the proline servo saver setup for the tmaxx ( just shave of a post for the emaxx).

i also have a revo 3.3 that is in line for a feiago8xl/mm/lipo conversion


question is will i ever use the emaxx again?

i am going to europe soon (feb 5th starting in amsterdam hoooray) for one month and need money when i get back so.... should i save the 1500+ dollar investment or get the $250-$350 cash when i get back
basically will i regret the loss of a brushless emaxx over a new faster e-revo ... ever,

hi

weird question. how should we know if you are going to miss something or not?

of course some may comment that the e revo is in their opinion 'superior' to the e maxx and others may say the exact opposite. but who knows if their needs and preference match with yours? nobody.

imo you better keep both and fun with both. its always nice to have several cars ready so you are not dependent on one.

I agree with rhylsadar. IMHO, I'd say keep it. You never get out of them what you put in (not even close) and generally it's worth more to keep it than to sell it.

Got a question for you on your proline steering kit: was it much of a pain to get it to fit? I've been dying to get rid of that damn spring SS, but wasn't sure if the finished result with the proline kit fit and worked well.

Like rhyladar said we all have our own tastes about the differences between the two vehicles. I am retired US Navy working/living in Brussels, Belgium at the moment. I have been here for two years already and have been to two tracks in the local area. I have SuperMaxx's, but they do not race them here. In fact they race everything but. The "Firehammer" is the vehicle of choice here and in fact the outdoor track is a dirt track covered with Astro-turf due to the inclement weather. I have been to Amsterdam a couple of times, but have not been to any of the RC tracks there. From my understanding they have a huge RC community there involved in a ROAR type of organization. You might want to find out what they race before going there. Like it was also stated having a few types of vehicles to choose fromin your toy box is the best way to go. It will give you some versatility depending on the location you go to race. If all your doing is bashing with your toys, then the only one who it will make a differnece to is you.:lol:

I vote for keeping it, unless you're desperate for the cash. You'll like the e-revo, but it's a different animal with different capabilities. My plan is to make my e-revo truggy-ish and very fast, and then slow the e-savage down and give him much more torque. Then I have something "trail capable" with the savvy, and a fast and furious Revo.

It's very nice to have a selection of cars with different capabilities. This way, you have something to use in different scenario's, in different places, etc etc.

I would say to keep it. I have quite a few rc vehicles, and I swap up when I feel like it. I also start projects that I get tired of before I finish so they go back on the shelf and I start something else.

The e-revo w/ 8xl will get 90% of your use... you decide what to do from there. If you have lipo's with an 8XL you'll have more torque and top end than you need, so you wont need two trucks you need good throttle control :P or swap out a spur to control speed maybe..

Here are a couple video's to watch.. the emaxx is with a 7xl the revo is 8xl (4s 2s2p 6k lipo's and MM controller)

very good points i think i will have to keep it, i do like having multiple cars. and the investment loss is to much to swallow

slebus jones it was very easy you just dremel off the post flush with the chassis and then its a bolt on piece (world of difference seriously) got mine $24 shipped fleabay

thanks for reminding me a extra brushie is worth keeping

on a side note when driving my e-maxx after a rebuild it started lifting one front tire on takeoff or when i give it some juice

i have put silly putty in both diffs
also my shocks are shitty (could that make a difference)
